[Chekov sounds slightly out of breath when he responds-- he'd been out running when it hit. He'd nearly tripped and spent a few minutes sitting on the curb. The sound of his communicator snapped him out of it.]

[Of course he sounds worried, where Chekov's concerned. Closest thing he has to a brother, right?]

Yes. I-I'm fine, Captain.

Did you feel it too, the... telepathic connection?

Yeah. The first month I was here, everybody got visited by the turtle. Same basic feeling, except not so much with the grief and the sadness.

[He exhales, and scrubs a hand across his face.]
